13U PeeWee (Born 2006-2007) for 2019

The Pee Wee Division is for players born in 2006 & 2007.

In this division, the Spring season is tiered into two levels. The 'AA' program is designed for the more advanced player while the Single'A' program is designed for the less advanced, recreational player.

The Single 'A' teams play an interlocking schedule with Port Coquitlam and Ridge Meadows consisting of 15 to 20 games (depending upon number of teams). Games have historically been played Wednesday and Sunday with practice on a third day. The Spring Season ends in June.

Typically we have two Spring 'AA' teams who play an interlocking schedule with all the Lower Mainland Associations. Games have historically been played Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday with practices scheduled around games. Players selected to the 'AA' teams are not guaranteed a spot on the Summer 'AAA' team or Summer 'AA' team.

The Peewee Division uses the Coquitlam Town Centre Turf Field, Aspenwood Elementary and Panorama Elementary for games and practices.

All those players interested in trying out for Spring 'AA' are given the opportunity during the evaluations which take place in late February. Those players interested in Single 'A' will undergo an evaluation after the 'AA' evaluations. All Single 'A' teams are to be balanced.

Lead offs are permitted and the balk rule is introduced. Pitch counts for pitchers will be according to BC Minor guidelines. The base paths are set at 70 feet and the distance from home plate to the pitching rubber is set at 48 feet. The fences are set at a minimum of 180' down the lines and 200' in centre field. A regulation game is 7 innings, but could be called earlier for a permitted reason.

Players must supply their own glove, batting helmet, athletic support and pants. Jerseys, socks, hats and standard bats are provided by the association.

Summer Ball is offered at three levels (A, AA, AAA). Coquitlam Moody Minor Baseball will field a team or teams dependent upon availability of players and coaches. Fall Ball is also offered starting in late August and ending in early October.
